Holland Capital invests in terminal home care organization Attenza

Amsterdam, 15 June 2023 – Holland Capital invests in Attenza, a care organization specialized in offering terminal palliative care at home. With the investment Attenza can execute its ambitious growth path.

Palliative terminal care

The aging population in the Netherlands and the increasing number of elderly living at home have led to a higher demand for palliative terminal care at home. Attenza provides this care to patients who wish to spend their last days at home with an intensive need for care. Attenza is able to quickly scale up or down palliative terminal care requests and is up to 24 hours per day available at the patient with a small team of care takers to provide comfort and quality care during the final stage of life. The company uses a proprietary software application, which contributes to the success and self-organization of the team, the quality of care and rapid deployment.

The partnership

Due to the partnership with Holland Capital Attenza can further expand its care services, resulting in nationwide coverage.

Carin van der Kaaden (Director of Attenza): “We are delighted to continue our passion together with Holland Capital. Enabling the highest possible quality of both living and dying at home with a small team of dedicated and well-trained professionals, for patients who have the last wish to pass away at home.”

Margot Engels (Partner Healthcare of Holland Capital): “We are proud to add Attenza to our portfolio of healthcare companies. We look forward to supporting the organization and its management in their growth ambitions.”

Almende has been involved in Attenza as a shareholder since 2017 and has actively supported the establishment and expansion of its proposition.

Jan Peter Larsen, CEO of Almende: “We are proud of the unique concept we have established with Attenza and the impact it has on people’s lives. The arrival of Holland Capital is the next step in Attenza’s ambition to offer this form of care nationwide.”
