Amsterdam / Düsseldorf,  20th of May 2025 –This year, a group of sporty colleagues from Holland Capital are taking on a heroic challenge on June 22, 2025: the Marmotte – one of the toughest and most iconic cycling tours in the French Alps. Covering over 174 kilometers and more than 5,000 meters of elevation gain, across legendary mountain passes such as the Col du Glandon, Col du Galibier, and the climb up Alpe d’Huez, this is no ordinary bike ride – this is suffering, perseverance, and triumph.

But we’re not doing it just for ourselves.

We are riding for Kinderen van de Voedselbank

In the Netherlands, more than 1 in 13 children grow up in poverty. For these children, life is anything but carefree. The Children of the Food Bank Foundation supports them with essential items many others take for granted – clothing, school supplies, gifts, and more. They make sure these children feel included. And that’s something we are fully committed to. The ‘Kinderen van de Voedselbank’ Foundation offers two important, free services for children living in poverty:

Clothing & Toy Webshop
– Unique worldwide: twice a year, children can “shop” for a complete outfit (shoes, jackets, pants, shirts) and toys from a large webshop featuring well-known brands — completely free of charge.

Birthday Box for Primary School Children
– A box with everything needed to celebrate a birthday at school and at home: from party favors (30 for the classroom, 10 for at home), cake, candy, balloons, streamers, and invitations to a present for the birthday child and a game guide.

Thanks to this, over 18,000 children each year gain self-confidence, a sense of belonging, and a joyful birthday celebration.
