Amsterdam / Düsseldorf, 17th of July 2025 – This month, we celebrate a memorable milestone: Hubert Verbeek and Ewout Prins joined Holland Capital 25 years ago. A remarkable achievement we are proud to celebrate.

From Holland Venture to Holland Capital

When Hubert and Ewout joined, our investment fund was still operating under the name Holland Venture. The foundation of our organization was already well established: since its inception in 1981, Holland Venture has steadily built a strong track record. By 2010, we had already completed 110 successful investments, and by 2012, our team had grown to 12 employees.

Since January 1, 2019, we have operated under the name Holland Capital. This change marked an important step forward, driven by two key reasons:
• Better alignment with our activities: ‘Capital’ more accurately reflects what we do.We don’t just provide funding, we actively contribute to growth;
• A broader focus: from startups to mature companies with international ambitions and buy-and-build strategies.

Over 40 Years of investing in growth

Holland Capital is one of the first independent private equity firms in the Netherlands. For over 40 years, we have been investing responsibly and successfully in promising SMEs in the Netherlands and Germany with clear growth ambitions. With a clearinvestment strategy, we capitalize into long-term trends in attractive growth markets.

Our focus is on two sectors: Healthcare and Technology. We target entrepreneurs who operate in socially relevant markets, hold a distinctive market position, and are led by strong management teams.

We currently manage EUR 500 million in capital, raised from seasoned entrepreneurs in these sectors, and complemented by family offices and institutional investors. To date, we have completed over 200 investments.

With specialized teams in both Venture & Growth and Growth & Buy-Out, our investment professionals possess deep operational and investment knowledge. Our core values – personal, honest, and committed – are embedded in our daily approach.
Our team of 35 investment professionals works from offices in Amsterdam and Düsseldorf. Together, we help businesses and entrepreneurs realize their growth ambitions – not just with capital, but also with energy, expertise, and dedication.
