Amsterdam/Houten, March 22, 2024 – Our portfolio company Kids Lodge has acquired the childcare organization BSO Wijs. The acquisition allows Kids Lodge to further expand its childcare activities in the Utrecht region.

With 10 locations in the Utrecht region, BuitenSpeelOpvang (BSO) Wijs offers “outdoor play care” to children aged 4 and older. BSO Wijs provides a unique care experience where children engage in outdoor activities in nature throughout the year, such as building huts and playing hide and seek. Amsterdam/Düsseldorf, March 5, 2024 – After a fundraising period of five months, Holland Capital has established its new investment fund, Holland Capital Growth & Buy Out Fund V. There was significant interest from both existing and new investors, leading to the fund being oversubscribed. As a result, a first-and-final closing occurred at the hard cap of EUR 225 million. Investors in this new fund include (international) institutional parties, family offices, and entrepreneurs (many of whom are active in Healthcare and Technology). The fund is classified as an Article 8 fund under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

The fund will continue its existing strategy

Holland Capital will deploy the capital for investments in medium-sized Dutch and German companies operating in the Healthcare, Technology, and Agrifood-Tech sectors. This aligns the investment strategy of this fund with its previous funds. With the SFDR Article 8 classification and the related ESG objectives of the fund, Holland Capital reaffirms its ambitions in this regard.

The fund manager aims to realize 15 to 20 platform investments in the coming years with the available capital. Holland Capital benefits from a continuous and robust lead flow in the mentioned sectors. The first planned investments are already in the final stages of ‘due diligence.’

Amsterdam/Düsseldorf, 19 December 2023 –  Holland Capital invests in German company Honic for further development of their medical data platform.

Using this funding, Honic is able to further roll out its medical data platform. The platform – developed in cooperation with the German privacy regulator and various patient groups – is live since early 2022. The first research projects with universities and international life science companies have already been successfully conducted and completed. In cooperation with renowned partners such as Bundesdruckerei as data handler, IT security company Secunet, and Schwarz Group’s cloud provider StackIT, Honic offers a completely independent solution with its data platform.

Holland Capital led this funding round. Existing investors such as Dieter von Holtzbrinck Ventures, adesso Ventures and Isartal Ventures also participated in this round.
