Merger ETTU and Wortell reflects ambition to become the best Microsoft Cloud Solution Partner

Amsterdam, 7 March 2019 – The IT service providers Wortell from Lijnden and ETTU from Gouda join forces and continue together under the name of Wortell. The merger creates a company of 180 specialists with extensive expertise in digital transformation and accelerating the migration of its clients’ IT base to the Azure cloud. Wortell has the ambition to continue its growth, both organically and through acquisitions. The company is actively supported in this strategy by Holland Capital.

Bundling forces
On the 6th of March the companies merged and will continue under the name of Wortell. The ‘as-a-service’ portfolio will be merged under the Debble brand name. The new organization will continue operating from the locations in Lijnden and Gouda. The complete management team remains intact and consists of Eric-Jan Vroon, Piet Vink, Luc Joziasse and Danny Burlage.

Complete ‘desktop as a service’
Danny Burlage, general manager of Wortell: “We notice that our customers need a complete ‘as-a-service’ solution around the workplace, where managed services are outsourced to the IT partner. A complete cloud managed environment. By bundling Wortell’s forces around Microsoft 365 and Azure together with the online Debble platform, we offer a total solution.” Wortell strives to remain a top player in the healthcare, education, manufacturing and professional services market segments.

Attractive employer
The combined company forms a new group of 180 specialists, which is organized as a self-organizing organization. Wortell’s focus on a self-steering organization has led Wortell to be voted best employer of the year by Effectory in 2018 and in 2019.

Growth ambition supported by Holland Capital
The merger with ETTU is a first step in the realization of Wortell’s growth ambition, aiming to broaden its activities in order to extend the added value to its customers. Holland Capital came on board to support this ambition. “Wortell is a leading Microsoft partner that has excellent growth opportunities both autonomously and through a buy-and-build strategy. With great enthusiasm we will use our funding, network and experience to support the Wortell team in realizing their growth ambitions”, says Ewout Prins, Managing Partner Holland Capital.
