Amsterdam, 18 December 2023<\/span> \u2013 Our portfolio company, Kids Lodge, has successfully acquired childcare center Het Zonnetje. This strategic move allows Kids Lodge to expand its childcare services and footprint in Houten.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Het Zonnetje is known for providing intimate childcare services with a focus on personal attention for each child. The two locations in Houten offer a comprehensive package of childcare arrangements for parents, emphasizing warmth, coziness, cooperation, prioritizing the child, and learning through play.<\/p>\n

The acquisition of Het Zonnetje aligns with Kids Lodge’s growth ambitions. Building on previous acquisitions, including In de Rups Houten\/Zeist (December 2021) and De Bereboot in Helmond (November 2023), this move represents the next step in Kids Lodge’s strategic expansion.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1988 as a childminder position, Het Zonnetje has evolved into a daycare center with a passion for working with children. The center provides care to approximately 250 children aged 0 to 12 years across two locations in Houten, supported by a team of 50 employees.<\/p>\n

About Kidslodge<\/h2>\n

Kids Lodge was founded in 2009 and offers with a team of more than 290 employees childcare to more than 1,400 children aged 0 to 12 years. In addition to childcare services, Kids Lodge offers a Party Lodge, Sport Lodge, and Family Lodge, positioning itself as a comprehensive family center.
