(Regulation (EU) 2019\/2088, SFDR) became applicable. This regulation emerged from the European Union\u2019s 2018 Action Plan on Sustainable Finance<\/em> and is thus part of wider efforts at European level to make the financial sector more sustainable. The SFDR requires fund managers like Holland Capital to provide information with regards to (inter alia) the integration of sustainability risks, the consideration of adverse sustainability impacts, and where applicable, the promotion of environmental or social characteristics, and sustainable investment as an investment objective.<\/p>\n In order to comply with the SFDR Holland Capital makes the following disclosures:<\/p>\n A sustainability risk<\/em> means:<\/p>\n “an environmental, social or governance event or condition that, if it occurs, could cause an actual or potential material negative impact on the value of the investment”.<\/p>\n The integration of ESG factors both during the pre-investment stage (selection & due diligence) as well as during the post-investment stage (monitoring & active ownership) is important to capture opportunities for long-term value creation, competitiveness and helps us mitigating risks. We therefore incorporate ESG issues into our investment analysis and decision-making processes. In both stages the size and phase of a company is taken into consideration to ensure proper assessment.<\/p>\n During due diligence an ESG scan is executed where a (potential) risk classification is made. The scan is structured in line with Holland Capital’s 5 ESG objectives. For each objective, general points of attention have been included that may be relevant for a large part of the companies. In addition, the ESG scan covers some principal adverse sustainability impact indicators<\/em> (<\/em>PAIs)<\/em>. Though, considering the size of Holland Capital there is no formal PAI- reporting.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.18.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.18.1″ _module_preset=”default” link_font=”|700|||||||” link_text_color=”#283583″ header_font=”|800|||||||” header_text_color=”#283583″ header_font_size=”25px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n After investment the ESG matters of portfolio companies are monitored by means of the Holland Capital ESG framework.<\/p>\n In accordance with article 7 (2) in conjunction with article 4 sub 1 (b) of the SFDR, Holland Capital states that it does not consider adverse impacts of investment decisions on sustainability factors as set forth in article 4 sub 1 (a) of the Disclosure Regulation<\/em> and therefore does not make the disclosures as described in article 4 sub 1 (a) of the SFDR. Given the small size of the organisation of Holland Capital, such disclosure as set forth in article 4 sub 1 (a) of the SFDR and the administrative burden in connection therewith would not be proportional.<\/p>\n Employees play a crucial role in achieving the Holland Capital objectives and therefore form a central part of the organization.
