Defibrion: A Leading Provider in AED Distribution and Safety Products

De van origine Nederlandse IT-dienstverlener Supply Chain Company blijft groeien. Het opende eerder dit jaar een vestiging in Spanje en afgelopen maand een in het Verenigde Koninkrijk. De groei dankt het aan de groeiende vraag naar planningsoplossingen bij producenten en retailers.

De vraag naar geavanceerde supply chain en retail planningsoplossingen in de fast moving consumer goods sector blijft toenemen. “Producenten en retailers blijven na de coronaperiode worstelen met de vraag hoe ze moeten omgaan met toenemende ketenverstoringen en grillige vraagpatronen. Ze moeten hun supply chain planningsprocessen optimaliseren om flexibel en veerkrachtig te zijn. Goede IT-ondersteuning is daarbij onontbeerlijk. Wij hebben de expertise om deze software te implementeren en de aanpalende processen te optimaliseren”, verklaart CEO Henk Jan Rijkse de groei van het bedrijf.

Zo is Supply Chain Company een belangrijke implementatiepartner van Relex Solutions, een Finse leverancier van supply chain planningsoplossingen. Relex breidde recentelijk zijn productportfolio met de overname van softwareleverancier Optimity. Supply Chain Company beschikt over uitgebreide kennis van en implementatie-ervaring met beide softwareoplossingen. Rijkse: “Bovendien heeft ons zusterbedrijf Chainresult een sterk track record op het gebied van bedrijfsimplementaties, onder meer in de agri en food sector. We hebben vanuit Supply Chain Company makkelijk toegang tot die kennis en ervaring. Dit zet ons in een goede positie om onze klanten nog beter te bedienen.”

Internationale expansie

Sinds de oprichting van Supply Chain Company in 2017 is het bedrijf gegroeid naar circa 50 medewerkers, met kantoren in Nederland, Denemarken en Nieuw Zeeland. “Om mee te kunnen groeien met Relex hebben we nu een kantoor in Spanje en in het Verenigd Koninkrijk geopend”, zegt Rijkse. “Het Verenigd Koninkrijk is belangrijk voor ons. Een groot deel van onze projecten voeren we al uit voor opdrachtgevers in het VK. Dit kunnen we nog beter doen door met ons team in de markt zelf te zitten.”

Het kantoor in Spanje staat onder leiding van Sander Mullink en moet een ​​centrale rol gaan vervullen in de softwarelevering van alle kantoren en toekomstige kantoren wereldwijd. Mullink zegt dat de locatie Malaga strategisch gekozen is. “Malaga is een groeiende hub voor IT-diensten. De stad heeft een goed aanbod aan hoogopgeleide IT-professionals, dankzij de gerenommeerde universiteiten en technische scholen, zoals de bekende IT-universiteit Universidad de Málaga. In Malaga zal een groot deel van de technische en configuratieactiviteiten plaatsvinden. Daarnaast is Malaga de hub voor projecten op het Iberisch schiereiland.”

De kantoren in Nederland, Denemarken, Nieuw Zeeland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk spelen een essentiële rol in het succes van de klant. “We willen onze gedegen expertise combineren met aanwezigheid dicht bij opdrachtgevers We zijn voornemens om nog dit jaar een vergelijkbaar kantoor in Duitsland te openen en we onderzoeken de mogelijkheden voor de Verenigde Staten”, zegt Rijkse.

Kapitaalinjectie

Om de groeiambities te faciliteren kreeg Supply Chain Company samen met zusterbedrijf Chainresult vorig jaar een kapitaalinjectie van investeringsmaatschappij Holland Capital. “Technologie speelt een steeds grotere rol in de vraag naar een duurzame bedrijfsvoering in de agrifood en consumer packaged goods. De unieke eigenschappen van deze markten vragen om een gespecialiseerde aanpak.
