Do you want to step into the exciting world of Private Equity?

Holland Capital, an independent private equity firm with a focus on the Benelux & German mid-market, is looking for a full-time intern to join its buy-out team. Within 5 months, you will familiarize yourself with all aspects of the investment process to ramp up all skills related to PE investing.

About your role

Support the buy-out team in all phases of the investment process
Source attractive investment opportunities and screen inbound deal-flow
Perform in-depth due diligence on commercial, strategic and financial level
Build financial models that support our investment thesis
Acquire expertise through extensive market research in themes of interest within our target sectors and markets
Actively participate in meetings with inspiring founders and managers.

We are looking for

Fit with the lower mid-market and natural ability to connect with entrepreneurs
Analytical, charismatic and pragmatic person with a proactive attitude
Strong communication skills to articulate and underpin concepts, propositions and theses, both verbal and written
Outstanding academic track record, at least completion of Bachelor and currently studying Masters (Business, Finance, Investments, Accounting, Econometrics, Engineering etc.)
Preferably internship experience in Investment Banking, M&A, Private Equity, or (strategy) consulting
Comfortable with Microsoft (Excel/PowerPoint)
Fluency in Dutch and English.

with all aspects of the investment process to ramp up all skills related to VC investing.

About your role

Support the venture team in all phases of the investment process
Source attractive investment opportunities and screen inbound deal-flow
Perform in-depth due diligence on commercial, strategic and financial level
Build expertise through extensive market research in themes of interest within our target sectors and markets
Stress test unit economics and financial growth models
Actively participate in meetings with inspiring founders
Support and work with our portfolio companies.

We are looking for

Curiosity in healthcare, technology or food & agri and its impact on humans, business and society
Analytical, charismatic and pragmatic person with a proactive attitude
Strong communication skills to articulate and underpin concepts, propositions and theses, both verbal and written
Outstanding academic track record, likely with a degree in finance, economics, medicine or science
Comfortable with analytics, numbers and Microsoft (Excel/PowerPoint)
Fluency in Dutch and English.

Für unser Team in Düsseldorf suchen wir Praktikanten, die den Investitionsprozess aktiv begleiten und ein fundiertes Wissen im Bereich Private Equity erwerben wollen. Praktikanten im Investmentteam arbeiten als vollwertiges Teammitglied mit den Investment Professionals und lernen so das facettenreiche Private Equity Geschäft kennen. Wir suchen ab sofort und durchgängig Praktikanten, die das Team in Düsseldorf unterstützen.

Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt

Unterstützung des deutschen Buy-out-Teams in allen Phasen des
Investitionsprozesses;
Suche nach attraktiven Investitionsmöglichkeiten und
Prüfung eingehender Investitionsgelegenheiten;
Durchführung anstehender Due-Diligence-Prüfungen auf kommerzieller, strategischer
und finanzieller Ebene;
Erstellung von Finanzmodellen, die unsere Investitionsthese unterstützen;
Aneignung von Fachwissen durch umfassende Marktforschungen
zu interessanten Themen innerhalb unserer Zielsektoren und -märkte;
Aktive Teilnahme an Treffen mit Gründern und Managern.

ehrgeizige und engagierte Studenten/innen mit ausgezeichneten akademischen Leistungen.
Darüber hinaus:

Hervorragendes Verständnis von wirtschaftlichen Zusammenhängen,
Erfahrungen im deutschen Mittelstand und die Fähigkeit mit Unternehmern in Kontakt zu treten;
Ausgezeichnete analytische Fähigkeiten im Hinblick auf die Bewertung von Märkten und Geschäftsmodellen;

Fortgeschrittenes Studium in den Fachrichtungen Wirtschaftswissenschaften,
